Rewind

Time for some R&R...

No retrogaming magazine would be complete without a big bag of retrogaming goodness, and this is where the Play section comes in handy.

This section is where you will find out what's hot (or not) in the land of remakes. New remakes are put through their paces by our team of game playing monkeys, as well as revisiting some of the older remakes which my have been overlooked in the past.

We also plan to include reviews of the original games, so if there's a game that you think was overlooked the first time around, pen us a review for inclusion in future issues.

Got Monkey?

Sometimes, you just have to put theories to the test. In our case, we drove a van down to Chester Zoo and commandeered some monkeys and in a daring heist on an office equipment store we stole an equal amount of typewriters and PC's. Hastily, we bundled all the gear and the monkeys down into a deep dark cellar, far beneath Castle Rewind where hideous experiments were performed upon them.

At gunpoint we sat them down in front of the PC's and forced them to play some of the games that the talented folk at Retro Remakes spit forth. Once they'd exhausted themselves playing through the games, we strapped them into chairs and screamed "Type your thoughts" at them till their ears bled.

We're happy to report, that it is true that given enough time, the monkeys learn how to use the typewriters and produce some excellent copy.

Once we'd corrected the spelling mistakes and occasional addition of monkey speak ("This game is oooh oooh ooooh *scratch armpits*") we donned our balaclava's and threw the monkeys into a helicopter, where we dropped them back at key locations around the zoo.

What you are about to read is the result of this experiment. We hope you enjoy it.
