The winner will be judged by a couple of A list (*) celebrities, with the stupendous prize of an Xbox 360 and a very special something else. The winner will be announced at the Retro Ball in December so you'll be able to hear the rapturous applause for your amazing coding skills before being dragged backstage by some gorgeous groupies. What more could you want?

The Retro Remakes Mini Xmas Atari Compo
Code yourself a merry little Christmas...
We all get bored, especially when waiting for inspiration to hit for our next big remake. For this reason, we have the occassional mini compo over on the Retro Remakes forum. The last one was all about remaking a game from Cassette 50 and there's an article in this issue all about it. Given two weeks and a pile of donkey poop for inspiration, the guys came up trumps.
So what's next? Well, we asked around for inspiration and considering it's near to Christmas (it's true, Tesco have had the Xmas stock out for weeks already) we've gone for Codex's suggestion. For the November/December compo we'll be remaking Atari 2600 games. Just pick any Atari 2600 game and do a remake of it. Bonus points go to those that can shoehorn some Christmas references in there. It is the season to be jolly after all...
In the spirit of Christmas, everyone that enters will get a nice little surprise down their chimney at Xmas with an added bonus for the overall winner. Check out the forum thread to keep up with the rules and developments so far.
